IS EVERYTHING BAD THAT HAPPENS THE WILL OF GOD OR THE WORK OF THE DEVIL?

Image
When bad things happen, some Christians attribute them sometimes to some heavenly punishment or an act of the devil. Bad things can happen in many forms. The most common are sudden unforeseen economic, emotional or natural misfortunes; but they can also be born disabilities or conditions that puts us in disadvantage against other people around us.
A sudden loss of employment, an accident, a death in the family, any kind of personal disability or inconvenient living condition, can affect seriously anyone’s life, specially if it is prolonged in nature, and this makes us wonder why we have to suffer this.
In the mind of the believer, sometimes we are inclined to thinks that God wanted it that way, and that we have to accept it and suffer it. Other times we may think that this is an attack from the devil, and that we must fight against it.
These two responses are good against any odd that may come our way. Indeed, under any kind of misfortune or adversity, we must put our trust in God, an…

THE DORMITION OF ST MARY

Image
The Christian Church has celebrated the Dormition of St Mary, the Holy Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ from around the 7th century, which also includes the traditional belief that St Mary was resurrected on the third day of her passing, and taken up to Heaven by her Son, Jesus, in a body and soul. (1)
Even though there are not records in Scripture about St Mary’s death and what happened to her afterwards, the Christian belief that Mary was resurrected and taken to Glory grew from as early as the 4rd century and gained acceptance in time. In fact, the Roman Catholic Church declared it a Dogma of Faith in 1950, under Pope Pius XII. (2)
The Biblical grounds for this belief are taken by some to be rooted in a mystical interpretation of certain passages of Genesis and Revelation (Genesis 3:15; Revelation 12:1-6); however most reformed Christians who consider this teaching (Anglicans and Lutherans), base their consideration in the fact that other men of God are assumed to have been resurrecte…

ANSWER TO THREE ARIANS OBJECTIONS

Image
Classic Arianism tends to present Trinitarian Christians with three biblical observations:
1 – IF JESUS IS GOD, WHY THE FATHER NEVER SUBMITS TO THE SON, BUT THE SON IS ETERNALLY SUBMITTED TO THE FATHER? “When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all.” (1CORINTHIANS 15:28)
2 – IF JESUS IS GOD, WHY DOES NOT HAVE THE SOURCE OF LIFE IN HIMSELF, BY RECEIVES LIFE FROM THE FATHER? “For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself.” (JOHN 5:26)
3 – IF JESUS IS GOD, WHY DOES HE CALL THE FATHER “MY GOD”? “The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name.” (REVELATION 3:12)
Here I will try to answer these objections from the Trinitarian p…

DO NOT BE AFRAID TO PROFESS YOUR FAITH

Image
In these modern times, the efforts of Satan to destroy Christianity have shifted from the promotion of heretical ideas to the total discredit of Christianism as a revealed religion. This is mainly due to the age of secularism we live in. In the past, when people still had room in their lives for metaphysical ideas, the devil tried to distort true faith in order to deviate believers from the right path. In these times however, heretical ideas do not hold as much as disbelief does; so, the devil plays those cards now.
Lord Jesus prophesied once:
“Then they will deliver you over to be persecuted and killed, and you will be hated by all nations on account of My name.” (Matthew 24:9)
How, in this modern era of reason and political correctness, would a social group like Christianity, that has shaped modern civilization, come to the point of being hated by everyone to the point of legal persecution?
To get to this point, the animosity against Christianity will have to be well extended and settle…
